By profession, I work as a systems engineer and computer software engineer. I have extensive experience in the full life cycle of software engineering and strong background in system engineering and that sort of geeky stuff!

In the past few years, I've done some free-lance web design and computer consulting work which has led me to delve further into HTML, MySQL, PHP, and image editing with Adobe Photoshop.
And of course, I love to take photographs -- that's what motivated me to put together the RiverSpirits web site. My favorite subjects are natural scenery and botanical studies, but I'm trying to build skills in other areas, also. Portraits are a particular challenge, but I'm learning to enjoy that work also (doing pet portraits is a lot of fun!). I love to play with lighting in photography -- mostly outdoors in natural settings.

So that's about it -- I love animals (most especially dogs and wolves!), I love water (swimming, canoeing, boating -- just put me on the water in some way, and I'm happy!), I love being outside and having the opportunity to appreciate nature. I love having the chance to share all that with my husband and our dogs (to us, they're our kids!).
